difference b/w orbit and orbital?

An orbit is a circular fixed path around the nucleus. An orbital is the space ( three dimentional ) around the nucleus where there is a high probability of finding electron.

orbit is called shell which is large compared to orbital!! orbital is called subshell!!! sub shells are present in a big shell!! the probability of finding electron in subbshell is more than in shell!!!! for example in 2nd orbit or K shell there are 2 orbitals namely S and P if electrons are present in this k shell then finding it in either of S and p orbital is more probable!!!
