hello, i just want to know when we talk about the electric energy we are talking about the electric potential energy ?
and plz i have another question the potential difference through a resistor is also the work done by the electric force wich is equal electric field by the charge of the electron?
and if this is true how come if we are moving against the electric field( because the charge of the electron is negative so the electric force is opposite to the electric field) how come the potential energy of the electrons is decreased through a resistor?
yes when we talk about the electric energy we are talking about the electric potential energy... electron looses its energy due to collisions with metal ions(read the phenomenon of drift) producing heat. and as current is assumed to be due to flow of positive charge so no electron involved as long as the discussion of potential difference is concerned so no confusion of direction or signs..
