As x is the year after 2000, so add 2000 to the above result...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can combine the logs there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No I have done something wrong.. Wait..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im confuse, when will you combine the logs and when not?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok ok ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[100 \times (1.02)^x = 300 \implies (1.02)^x = 3\] Taking log both the sides \[x.\ln(1.02) = \ln(3)\] Divide both the sides by ln(1.02) \[x =\frac{\ln(3)}{\ln(1.02)} + 2000\] As x is indicating the year after 2000..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got that too :D i'm learning! :)) but im confused how to put the numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What numbers??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how to put those 300 milion and the 2000
