Simplify: 3y^4 - 9y^5 +15y^4 + 3y^6 Please help, I have NO idea how to even start this.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Combine like terms ex: 3y^4 + 15y^4 = 18y^4 since 3+15 = 18

OpenStudy (anonymous):

after you combine like terms: 3y^6 - 9y^5 + 18y^4 you can factor out a 3y^4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[3y ^{6}-9y ^{5}+18y ^{4}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so then you have on the outside 3y^4( y^2 - 3y + 6)
