PLEASE HELP what is the atomic number of an element whose atom has the following electron configuration 1s^2 2s^2 2p^6 3s^2 3p^6 3d^2 4s^2

OpenStudy (aaronq):

count the number of electrons, if the atom is neutral, this will equal the number of protons. The number of protons equals the atomic number, and thus it's identity.
