You have a point and you have the slope... Use Point-Slope form! y - y1 = m(x - x1) \[y - \frac{ 2 }{ 3 } = \frac{ 1 }{ 2 }(x - (-3))\]\[y - \frac{ 2 }{ 3 } = \frac{ 1 }{ 2 }(x + 3)\]Distribute.\[y - \frac{ 2 }{ 3 } = \frac{ 1 }{ 2 }x + \frac{ 3 }{ 2 }\] Solve for y. Add 2/3 to both sides.\[y = \frac{ 1 }{ 2 }x + \frac{ 13 }{ 6 }\]Or without fractions.\[y = 0.5x + 2.16\]
