A rocket travels 50 km vertically upward at a 90° angle from point A to point B. It then moves a distance of 50 km along the line segment BC, as shown below. What is the height of the rocket, at point C, from the ground? 90 km 75 km 80 km 85 km
oh man i hated those... dont you ave to the tan cos sin things?
those are for angles I beleive...
yea i just need the distance :;
well its probably a special triangle... a 90,45,45?
nope its not :l
its a 90,60,30...
so whats \[x \sqrt{2} = 50km\]
well i dont know ... uhmmm i forgot all that stuff hold on let me work
nvm its \[x \sqrt{3} = 50\]
oh ok
I have no idea how to solve that xd
I'm thinking the answer is 75
i think its aprox. 9.128709
were did you get 75 ? lol i went to myalgebra.com and typed in x square root 30 = 50 and clicked solve lol thats what it gave me
lol looking at the picture :D
lol xD well my answer is wrong i guess or myalgebra.com is wrong xD
think I'll go with 75... :d
thanks for the help :)
