i think for 1 a) it is asking u fro the slope of the line. u know the two points; one is at x = 5 and y = 12 and the other at x = 7 and y = 20. so use the slope equation
For 1 b) the secant line is just the linear line passing through both points, which u can fine using the info from part 1 a and the general equation form of y = mx + b
