The simplest method is to substitute a real number for the variable (or for each of the variables if there is more than one), then evaluate each of the expressions, and multiply the results together. Then make the same substitution in your expression for the product. If the product is correct, then you should get the same answer as you got above
(2) Take the rational expression in the denominator and invert and multiply the two rational expressions and see if the result is the quotient. e.g. (3/2) / (3/4) = 2 -- (3/2) * (4/3) = (3*4) / (2*3)...cancel the 3's and you have 4/2, which is 2....which checks.
