Gold crystallizs in face-centered cubic arrangement, the observed unit cell length is 4.070 angstrom. a) calculate the raduis of a gold atom in both angstrom and cm. b) calculate the density of gold in g/cm^3. any help would be nice

OpenStudy (abb0t):

10^-8 cm or 10^-10 meters is 1 angstrom, so you should be able to do the conversion to get radius

OpenStudy (anonymous):

quick question, do i worry about the 4.070 Angstrom?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Well, yes. You're converting to cm to find radius...

ok, thank you for the help!
