Some solid NH4HS is placed in a flask Containing 0.5 atm of NH3 .What would be the pressure of NH3 and H2S when equilibrium is reached ? NH4HS(S) -----> NH3 (g)+ H2S

OpenStudy (abb0t):

So, it looks like you're trying to solve for Kp? Right?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Assuming room temperature. Yes?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Kind of..But we r looking for the pressure's of Products

OpenStudy (abb0t):

K = [NH3] [H2S]

OpenStudy (abb0t):

their combined pressure is 0.5. So each would be apprpx 0.25?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Square it. Thats your Kp

That Make Sense.....Thxxx
