WILL GIVE MEDAL!!!! Landon is standing in a hole that is 6.5 ft deep. He throws a rock, and it goes up into the air, out of the hole, and then lands on the ground above. The path of the rock can be modeled by the equation y = –0.005x² + 0.45x – 6.5, where x is the horizontal distance of the rock, in meters, from Landon, and y is the height, in meters, of the rock above the ground. How far horizontally from Landon will the rock land? 18.07 ft 35.96 ft 9.04 ft 71.93 ft
please help me!

Ok, if he is throwing it just high enough so that it gets out of the 6.5 ft hole, then set y equal to 6.5 and solve for x.
ok, and which method should I use 2 do that?
Use the quadratic formula
which is...?
Just look it up quickly on google. Khan academy also has some good videos on it.
I cant figure it out:/ I think I mess it up
Just type into good the following phrase "Quadratic formula khan academy". Watch some of his free videos and it will all make sense.
