Methane, which is the chief component of natural gas, is used in its compressed or liquid form to power many fleet vehicles, such as garbage trucks and buses. How many liters of carbon dioxide will be produced during one day of operation of a bus that burns 16.0 kilograms of methane?

OpenStudy (e.cociuba):

Reaction's general formula: CH₄+ O₂ => CO₂ + H₂O, More specifically: CH4[g] + 2 O2[g] -> CO2[g] + 2 H2O[l] + 891 kJ CH4 + 2O2 → CO2 + 2H2O 1 mole of methane will form 1 mole of CO2. So the volumes will be the same.
