to find the reciprocal, rewrite the equation as \[\frac{ 1 }{ 3 - 2i }\] but we don't want i's in the denominator, so what we do is\[\left( \frac{ 1 }{ 3 - 2i } \right) \left( \frac{ 3 + 2i }{ 3 + 2i } \right)\] to eliminate the i term in the denominator (there is a term for 3 + 2i, but slipped my memory). then simplifying,\[\frac{ 3 + 2i }{ 3^{2} - 2^{2}} = \frac{ 3 + 2i }{ 9 - 4 } = \frac{ 3 + 2i }{ 5 }\]
