Simplify the expression. assume that all variables are real numbers.? 3√64(x+2)^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(4x+8)^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you get that answer though? I cant seem to get the break down of it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So we start here: 3√64(x+2)^3 3√64 = 4 so... 4(x+2)^3 Then expanding (x+2)^3 and multiplying it by 4 4x^3+24x^2+48x+32 Then you could find roots from there if you need those, the cubed root, is that only for the 64 or does that go over the (x+2) as well? If the cubed root was √(64(x+2)^3) then you would get a different answer then what I showed above.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so then it would be 4x+2 because the 3s cancel out. correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3√(64(x+2)^3) ^^If that is your equation, then the 64 goes to 4, so you get 4(x+2), then just distribute the 4 to get 4x+8
