What is the impact of vibration on surface tension of water?? i observed rain drops floating on water for sometime in a stagnent water when it raining continuosly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Surface tension is entirely internally operated phenonmenon i.e. water's surface itself adjust to minimize it's surface energy, vibration increases the surface area and more number of molecules also increases the surface area and these are increased by rain drops thus surface tends to oppose this phenonmenon and rain water tends to stay on water surface for sometime
