Using the Periodic Table of the Elements with Atomic Mass to list the densities of all the metals in Group 2A, discuss the trend that exists in Group 1A in terms of density. Why does this trend exist?

^ this is true, for example the ionic radius of Mg2+ is smaller than Li+ so they can "pack" closer together.
