Which of these best explains why water vapor has more energy than a block of ice? Molecules in a gas move faster than in a solid. Molecules in a gas move slower than in a solid. Molecules in a gas absorb more heat from their surroundings. Molecules in a gas absorb less heat from their surroundings.

I believe this would be A. In water vapor gas, the molecules move around very fast, generating more energy. In liquid water, they still move around, but more slowly because they are tighter together. In ice, they move VERY slowly, because it is a solid, so there is less kinetic energy (energy of movement.) Does that make sense, @JasMapalad ?
