Am I doing this correct? Given: ΔABC ≅ ΔEFD What is the length of rounded to the nearest tenth? 2.8 3.4 4.1 6.1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is the correct answer 3.4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can anyone please tell me if I am correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What are we finding the length of?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry it is FE and it has a line over it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah. So you would use the distance formula carrect.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes I think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So \[d= \sqrt{(x_{2}-x_{1})^2+(y_{2}-y _{1})^2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So since we have FE is congruent to BA So (x1,y1)=(2,4) And (x2,y2)=(0,2) \[d \sqrt{0-2)^2+(2-4)^2}\] \[d=\sqrt{(-2)^2+(-2)^2}\] \[d=\sqrt{4+4}\] \[d=\sqrt{8}\] \[d=2.828427....\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you soo much :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem.
