who can help me with thermochemistry? im failing n rlly need to pass my next test
Read the chapter.
well no ship I've obviously already did that its just that im having trouble grasping the concepts
what is/are the thing(s) you don't understand?
You need to post a specific concept or a problem you cant solve. The fundamental concept in Thermochemistry is this. The heat of a reaction can be considered one of the reactants or products. So just like you use stoichiometry to determine moles and quantities, you treat heat of a reaction i the same way. A+B=>2C, If I asked you how many moles are produced when 3 moles of B are reacted, you would be able to tell me right? So if the reaction was A+B+>2C Delta H = -23kJ. And I asked you how much heat would be released if 2 moles of B were reacted, you would double Delta H. That is one basic principle.
rates of reaction, how and when to use heat of fusion problems and/or the mcat formula(the one thats like q eguals mass times specific heat times change in temp) i always get confused on when to use which equations and enthalpy and entropy we just learned its like a foreign language to me :/
have you tried watching videos on youtube? i mean there is so much stuff on there, it'll be faster and more efficient (because of the visual aids) for you to learn the concepts there. Then when you try to apply problems and you can't do the math post a question here, rather than you memorizing how to do the questions, you can understand why you use those equations. This is solely my opinion.
what are some good channels? i go on youtube for school but usually only math and social studies
khan academy has good broad sense topics, and theres Tyler DeWitt he does more math based videos, you can start with those
