I would first try by setting z=x+iy then the absolute value of a complex number is it's real part squared, it's imaginary part squared and the square root taken again from that expression

OpenStudy (hexagon001):

can anyone show the working out please?

OpenStudy (gorv):

it is circle with centre at(1/2,-1/4)
