What is the mass (in grams) of 9.02 × 1024 molecules of methanol (CH3OH)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First, what is the total number of each type of atom present? Try listing them in a column like this: atom 1: 3 atom 2: 2 Then write out the atomic mass next to them: atom 1: 3 * x.xxxx atom 2: 2* x.xxxx Now, sum the masses for all the atoms in the formula. That gives you the molecular mass of one molecule. See if you can get it from there.

Just to make it clear, atom 1= 3 x mass plus atom 2 = 2 x mass, etc.

Thank You!!!
