The coordinates of the vertices of two rectangles, Rectangle ABCD and Rectangle PQRS are given below. Rectangle ABCD – A(0, 4), B(9, 4), C(9, -2), D(0, -2) Rectangle PQRS – P(-4, 6), Q(2, 6), R(2, 2), S(-4, 2) Leah scaled both the rectangles about their centers to create two congruent rectangles A′B′C′D′ and P′Q′R′S′.
By which factor did she most likely scale Rectangle ABCD and Rectangle PQRS? Rectangle ABCD by 3 and Rectangle PQRS by 2 to create congruent rectangle of dimensions 3 x 2 units Rectangle ABCD by and Rectangle PQRS by to create congruent rectangles of dimensions 3 x 2 units Rectangle ABCD by and Rectangle PQRS by to create congruent rectangles of dimensions 4 x 3 units Rectangle ABCD by and Rectangle PQRS by 2 to create congruent rectangles of dimensions 2 x 3 units

HELP!!!!!!!
@Rayvenn.14
@completeidiot
fukk idont know how to do it lol sorry gringo
-.- OMG IM SCREWED
hold on ithink one of my peeps is cumin lol
xD idk either!!!
oh shyiit! yea ur screwed gringo lol
its the last question I have -.-
@amistre64 @abb0t @april115 @Aylin @Ammarah
Who ever answers this will definitely be getting a medal and a fan no doubt about it
@burhan101 @BostonBlue @BulletWithButterflyWings @Babyslapmafro @brando1996
@terenzreignz
hmm... get the area of the rectangles, I suppose? :)
Or actually, no, just the dimensions-- distance formula?
Could you do that?
like the side of each of the figure?
Yeah. Besides, for each rectangle, you only need to measure two sides, because the other two sides would be equal in length, aye? :)
abcd would be 9x6 i think...
Seems like it
and other is 6x4?
Okay. Good :)
Let's try the first choice. Scale abcd by 3 and then scale pqrs by 2, what happens?
27x18 12x8
Those aren't congruent, are they? :P Try the other choices ;)
ı found the answer ı will write on paper and ı will take a photo
Wait a minute, I think scale actually means divide, and not multiply, could you try the first choice again?
3x2 3x2
:OOOOOOO
okay? :)
Wanna help me with another broo?
Easier im just confused a little on it
post it and see what happens
I got it broo.. thanks ALOT though... you did something like 25+ people couldnt..
Nah, they just couldn't find the time ;)
No problem and good work, by the way ^.^
here is the answer
@ex0rcist_6_6_6 I thought scaling was multiplying at first, but then I saw in the choices that all scaling results in smaller rectangles. Remember that the two rectangles were originally 9x6 and 6x4 respectively, as @Gringo solved :)
ahh sorry about that ı am not focus on this by analogy that ı used is true
I got it wrong -.-
Really? It was multiplying after all?
Yeah :/ I was supposed to multiply by 1/3 and 1/2
multiply by 1/3 and 1/2 ? -.- That's the same as dividing by 3 and by 2
Thanks anyways bro.. I wouldve just guessed it and got it wrong
ı look ı used right right lenght 9*6 and 6*4. my answer is correct totally
But which was the correct answer, then?
b
if we kept going we wouldve had it
three of them a full answer my camera cannot take all of them ı take photo partially ıf you look carefully you will understand
Your choice b doesn't have numbers, though ...
yeah I seen exorcist after I seen yours I already posted to see if I got it right
oh wow!!! lol
my answer is d which you scale ABCD by 2 and PQRS by3
cause I copied and pasted it and it didnt bring the fractions -.-
ahh... okay, there's the problem...
d is 1/2 and 2....
okay, I'd have had a complete change of heart if I saw those fractions. I'm really sorry, bro T.T
ıs there any answer that that we scale ABCD by 2 and PQRS by3
no lol
then this question use scaling from the center by differently
when you click show distance it show how scale it.and it is same as ı do in your question
hey at least you got the help :D sorrry aqain icouldnt help you with anythinq.....
