Why won't Argon and Oxygen bond?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Argon is a noble gas, which means that it has its outer most shell already full of electrons, meaning that it will does not tend to bond to another element. Let me put it in another way: Oxygen bonds with other elements because it has 6 electrons in its outer most shell, therefore needing 2 more electrons to be stable. In the other hand, Argon has already 8 electrons by nature, therefore it is already stable, which means that it does not bond with other elements. Tell me if you need me to explain a bit more :)
