If a ball is thrown in the air with a velocity 50 ft/s, its height in feet t seconds later is given by y = 50t - 16t2. (Round your answers to one decimal place.) Find the average velocity for the time period beginning when t = 2 and lasting 0.5 second.

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

so, the average velocity will be given in \(\bf \cfrac{feet}{sec}\) that is in \(\bf \cfrac{y}{x}\) so, you'd want the value of "y", at x=0.5 and at x = 2 then get the average between both fractions
