To test the quality of a tennis ball, you drop it onto the floor from a height of 4.00 m. It rebounds to a height of 2.00 m. Suppose the ball is in contact with the floor for 14.5 ms. (a) What is the magnitude of its average acceleration during the contact with the floor?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to find the average acceleration.. you need to find the change in the velocity .. well initial velocity is the one with which the ball hits the ground.. that can be calculated from downward motion final velocity will be the velocity the moment ball rises.. that woudl be the initial velocity of the upward motion.. once you have those, you can find acceleration right?!
