I was being given steps to solve a matrix problem through the TI-83 calculator, and at steps 3 and 4 it says to "enter the dimensions & values of the matrix and then input" and "press quit & then press matrix (pressing 2nd first) again, and the matrix A should be stored"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But I can't figure out how to "input" the matrix...

I tried pressing enter but I don't think that worked because when I clicked "clear" (because I couldn't find a "quit" button) it only cleared one of the matrix elements

sorry, had to find batteries for my TI-84

$$\text{2ND}~>~\text{EDIT}~>~\text{choose a matrix, A, B, C, etc.}~>~\\ >~\text{first value is number of rows, second value is number of columns}\\ >~\text{put in the values in the matrix}\\ >~\text{2ND}~>~\text{MODE (that is quit)}$$

OpenStudy (phi):

I think clicking "clear" erased your matrix the quit button is at the top left. It is labeled MODE and quit above the button press 2nd (the top left button) then the MODE button... that is how you press QUIT
