Determine whether y varies directly with x. If so, find the constant of variation k and write the equation.

@jdoe0001 can you help again?

@shamil98

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

varying directly, means "y" is increasing as "x" changes, so x = 7, y = 11 x = 8, y = 13 so it's increasing, so "y" is varying directly to "x" to find the constant of variation, that is $$\bf y = n \cdot x$$ pick a pair from the table and plug them in, solve for "n" like before

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

say x = 7, y = 11 so $$\bf y = n \cdot x \implies 11 = n \cdot 7$$

oh ok thanks
