How do I write the balanced molecular equation for solid chromium (III) hydroxide and nitrous acid?

OpenStudy (ookawaiioo):

CrOH(3) + HNO2 --> this will help you start your problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know that the solid does not dissociate and that HNO2 is a weak acid.

OpenStudy (ookawaiioo):

the solid will dissociate because of the -OH (hydroxide) group

According to my water solubility chart, "All hydroxides are insoluble except for Group IA, NH4+, Ba2+, and Sr2+. Ca(OH)2 is slightly soluble. Soluble oxides react with water to produce hydroxides." Is Cr considered a soluble oxide?

OpenStudy (ookawaiioo):

Yes if ONLY water , then its insoluble

Ok. Thank you!
