anything under the radical sign should be greater than or equal to 0

when under a square root, the value cannot sum up to a negative number. therefore x has to be greater than or equal to 3 in order for the value under the square root to be positive and not negative

haha, sure :) You can not take the square root of a negative. So any value of x that makes x-3 negative will not work. so x has to be 3 or more.... 3-3 = 0 or bigger to take the square root!
