my guess is copper (II) chloride because the limiting reagent is HCl
yh its will be Cu2Cl

under what conditions would it be CuCl3 ?
its usually due to the two possible 'oxidation state numbers
what makes copper take the 3 oxidation state instead of the 2 oxidation state?
