If 5.05 g of CuNO3 is dissolved in water to make a 0.140 M solution, what is the volume of the solution?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i get 27?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im sorry..you have to find the moles with the grams..im sorry..just a bit distracted..i meant to say that molarity is equal to moles of solute/volume...you find the moles by taking 5.05 grams and dividing it by the molar mass of CuNO3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when you find the moles u then substitute it into the equations M=moles/Volume... and answer it like you would an algebra equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you get or do you need me to explain more?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think a little more explanation would be good :(
