As part of a community service project at your high school, you are organizing a fund-raiser at the neighborhood movie theater. Money raised will benefit a summer camp for children with special needs. The admission charge is $10.00 per person, $5.50 of which is used to pay the movie theater’s rental fee. The remainder is donated to the summer camp fund. If the maximum capacity of the movie theater is 500 people, what is the maximum amount that can be donated? Write an equation that shows how much money will be donated and then solve.
Pretty easy, what grade is this?
12th. help please
In any case, the equation is this y=(10-5.50)x Where y is the profit and x is the number people attending. So, the maximum amount in a situation where the maximum amount of attendees is 500 is y=(4.5)500 or 2250
also, i hope that was a bad lie, that is in no universe 12th grade math, unless you're taking american placements
or i misunderstood
its algebra 2. and also can you help me with a few others.
@joedwar This is 12th grade math. In many places they do not make you take a higher math anymore. This question is from a course called Mathematical Models which (@heathernicole199569 was correct) is very much like Algebra 2. It is an alternative to taking Trig.
