What is the local max(s) and min(s) of the functions Y=x^3+2x^2-5 Y=x^5-4x^4+3x^3+2x^2-x+1?

OpenStudy (camerondoherty):

I think its (-1,-4) Im not so sure though...

OpenStudy (aum):

Y=x^3+2x^2-5 Find dY/dx, equate it to zero and solve for x. Find the second derivative and test each of those x values to see if it is a minimum or a maximum. If the second derivative is negative then it is a max; positive implies min.
