solve the system of equation using elimination 2x+4y+z=31 -2x+2y-3z=-9 x+3y+2z=21

@SanjanaP

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you have to pick 2 equations to start off.so lets use the first 2. the 2 and -2 will cross each other out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

after that it will simplify down to 6y-2z=22

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then you go ahead and use the 1st and 3rd equations. multiply all of the 3rd equation by -2. so it will be -2x-6y-2z=-42. and you cancel the 2's out once again to simplify the equation.

I got -3y-2z=-42 when simplified

OpenStudy (anonymous):

uh... should i just start from the start again?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure, if you want :)
