HELP! DUE TOMORROW! :( 8. A gallon of gas costs $3.15. Your car goes twenty miles for every gallon. Each week you will drive to and from work five times, seven miles round trip. You will drive an extra twenty-five miles to the grocery store and for recreation each week. How much will you need to spend on gas in a month?
Does four weeks make a month in this case or is it 17+ days?
If four weeks is in a month then here is how I think you would do the problem: A gallon costs $3.15 for 20 miles to drive. If it is 7 miles per trip from work and back 5 times a week that would be 35 miles each week, which if there are 4 weeks that would be 140 miles which would equal $22.05 to pay for. But each week you would take 25 extra miles to go to the grocery store, which adds 100 extra miles which is $15.75 extra. Which in total is $37.80. I hope that helps!
Thank you! :)
No problem. Glad I could help. ;)
