well conservation of mass means that mass can not be made or destroyed but turned into different forms.
\[2Cr+3I_{2}\rightarrow2Crl_{3}\]
so we want to know the mass of the final product right? well I would think by following the law that the mass in the end will equal the mass in the beginning.
