What type of reaction is CH3COOH + NaHCO3 →CH3COONa + CO2 + H2O? Options are synthesis, decomposition, single-replacement, and double-replacement. I think its double replacement, but I need two answers. It cannot be combustion.

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Double replacement is one of them. But you notice once Na and H is traded... HHCO3 is broken down to H2O+Co2 What reaction is that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it double replacement and decomposition?

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Yes it is !

Thanks :)
