How do you determine if vectors are parallel or orthogonal?
I know if one can be evenly divided by the other then they are something, just not exactly what.
@zepdrix @jdoe0001
how do you divide vectors?
vectors are perpendicular if their dot product is 0
get the dot product of both, see what you get, if it's 0, then they're "orthogonal" or perpendicular
ok. If they are parallel then you can multiply one by a certain number (I think k) and they are parallel
parallel vectors, are just yes... you're correct, one is a multiple of another like say (2,4) and (4,8) 4, 8 is just 2 (2,4) so they're parellel or (3,7) and (12, 28), 12,28 is just 4 ( 3, 7), thus parallel
Thanks. I knew the multiplication thing just not what it meant... :)
:)
but dont say divide ;)
