Hi, please help Given a starting amount of 25.0 ml of acetic acid solution and that it takes 15.0 ml of 0.10 M sodium hydroxide to neutralize it. calculate molarity of the acetic acid. Thanks!

OpenStudy (aaronq):

There is shortcut for this type of question, \(\sf \huge M_{acid}V_{acid}=M_{base}V_{base}\) M=molarity, V=volume

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Another note is it can be important sometimes to balance the chemical equation from the given products and reactants in the problem given as coefficients can change calculations.

OpenStudy (aaronq):

^agreed. in which case you would want to go through the whole stoichiometric calculation

Thank you!
