A country's population in 1991 was 147 million. In 1998 it was 153 million. Estimate the population in 2017 using the exponential growth formula. Round your answer to the nearest million. P=Ae^kt This is exponential growth

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well you need to substitute the initial population and the model becomes \[P = 147e^{kt}\] you are told that 7 years later the population increases to 153, this will help you find the growwth constant k. \[153 = 147e^{7k}\] now solve for k. lastly, to find the population estimate for 2017, use the k value and t = 16 hope it helps
