Can some one explain how to do empirical formulas to me?

Vocaloid (vocaloid):

basic procedure: 1. assume you have 100g of compound 2. calculate the number of grams you have of each element in the compound 3. convert to moles 4. multiply as necessary to eliminate fractions 5. the number of moles of each element matches with the number of atoms per mole of that compound it would be easier to explain if you gave us an example problem :)
