Which sentence about a geometric plane is false? A. A plane is an undefined term. B. A plane is a one-dimensional figure. C. A plane contains at least three points that do not lie on the same line. D. The intersection of two planes is a line.
A
A is not the answer...
plane is undefined
b c and D all are correct only plane is a flat surface on which a straight line joining any two points on it would wholly lie.
C. A plane contains at least three points that do not lie on the same line. not always true you can have 3 points and all on the same line
For straight line u need at least 2 points
and for plane at least 3 points and they should not lie on the same line the last part is important
There are three words in geometry that are not formally defined. These three undefined terms are point, line and plane. In geometry, a point has no dimension (actual size). Even though we represent a point with a dot, the point has no length, width, or thickness. @popitree
formally not defined does not mean undefined.. the thing is u can not have ideal plane with zero height.. same with line or point.. u can not draw/create physically the ideal point plane or straightline
we were arguing unnecessarily.. the correct ans is B
cause PLANE is 2 dimensional
i guess u did not read the options carefully.. and same here
