Explain why the quantum number set (3, 3, -2, +½) is not possible for an electron in a ground-state atom.

The value of the second quantum number can only range from 0 to n-1, or 1 less than the first quantum number. That means if your first quantum number is 3, your second can be 2 at the most. It can't also be 3.
