Okay, now I see it.

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

ok, thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This one's a mouthful.

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

i know :-(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So our function is this: \[f(x) = \frac{ (x - 6)(x + 3)(x + 4) }{ (x + 6)(x - 3)(x - 4) }\] Undefined functions are, in this case, when the denominator equals to zero. So we only need the bottom half of this fraction: \[0 = (x + 6)(x - 3)(x - 4)\] This would give us our undefined x-values. \[x = -6\]\[x = 3\]\[x = 4\] These are undefined x-values because when plugged in, they make the denominator equal to zero, and therefore makes the entire function f(x) undefined.

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

oh wow, ok thank you

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

how are you so good at every math? @Cardinal_Carlo I need to be this good at math haha!

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

I have just two more left! I could really use help !

Just post them up and close this one ^_^
