The molar mass of carbon dioxide (CO2) is 44.01 g/mol. The molar mass of water (H2O) is 18.01 g/mol. A reaction uses 528 g of CO2. How many moles of water are used in this reaction?

reaction between carbon dioxide and water will be as follows- \(CO_2~+~H_2O\) ------> \(H_2CO_3\) now we can see that 1 mole of \(CO_2\) reacts with 1 mole of \(H_2O\) to give 1 mole of \(H_2CO_3\) we are given that 528g of \(CO_2\) are used so moles of \(CO_2\) consumed= \(\large \frac{Mass}{Molar~Mass}\) Moles of \(CO_2\) consumed =\(\large \frac{528}{44.01}\) Moles of \(CO_2\) consumed =11.99 1 mole of \(CO_2\) react with 1 mole of \(H_2O\) so 11.99 moles of \(O_2\) will react with 11.99 moles of \(H_2O\)
