OpenStudy (alexrobin13):

Oxidation number of NaHSeO4? I think Na=1, H=-1, Se=8, O=-2. Am I right?

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Yes your answer appears to be correct.

OpenStudy (photon336):

Yep, unless there is a charge or ion, the sum of the oxidation states must be zero.

OpenStudy (alexrobin13):

Thanks! But I think I noticed a mistake, shouldn't H be +1 making Se=+6?

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Hmm yes Na and H would be +1 therefor Se would most likely be +6 sorry for the confusion
