OpenStudy (fanduekisses):

How do you draw the 3-D Structure of C4H10?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

First draw the skeletal diagram (also called "line" diagram), once you figure out the types of bonds, you can add lines (in the plane), solid wedges (out of the plane) and dashed wedges (into the plane) to give the carbons the appropriate bond angles. For example, \(C_2H_6\) is ethane, an alkane. All the bond angles will be \(109.5^o\), so the hydrogens form the points of a tetrahedron where carbon atoms are at the centre. |dw:1456193010669:dw| look at this link for further instructions http://www.ivyroses.com/Chemistry/Organic/How-to-draw-organic-molecules-in-3D.php
