OpenStudy (fifib):

what is the pH on the titration curve that represents the point where 1 mL NaOH was added past the equivalence point? A. 10 B. 12 C. 8 D. 2

OpenStudy (fifib):

OpenStudy (fifib):

I know that C is wrong. So it is either A B or D. I doubt it will be D but I may be wrong.

OpenStudy (photon336):

Question to you: where is the equivalence point?

OpenStudy (fifib):

equivalence point? i think at 8 or 9? @Photon336

OpenStudy (photon336):

equivalence point is right at 8 that's when the number of moles of acid and base are equal. anything after that you're going to have more base.

OpenStudy (fifib):

@Photon336 how is the answer 10 then?

OpenStudy (photon336):

if you look at the x-axis of the graph you notice that each mark is 2mL. so right at pH of 10, 1 mL was added.

OpenStudy (fifib):

@Photon336 yeah
