which of the following [H+] values descirbes a nuetral solution? 10^-12M 10^-7M 10^-14M 10^-1M

OpenStudy (photon336):

For this, you need to understand what pH is -log[H+] neutral solution of water means that the concentration of H+ equals the concentration of oH- Usually at 25 degrees celsius \[Kw = [H^+][OH^-] = 1*10^-14 \] As i said if the solution is neutral [H] = [OH-] and for this to be the case their product has to equal so what do you think it might be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i honestly have no idea

OpenStudy (photon336):

well for the concentrations to be equal they both have to be {10^-7] because [10^-7][10^-7] = 10^-14

oh ok.
